Sometimes enough isn’t enough especially for your home, and if you are looking to add beautiful statements to your living space, then look no further. In store soon at A La Maison are some great new accessories to add spark into the house.
Coming straight from the imagination of Eric Jourdan, Jo is an unusual vase demonstrating the mastery of proportion and design in moulded ceramic finished in gloss red or blue enamel on the interior and front, and sanded matt white enamel on the rear (rounded). Jo can be placed around a dining area to add a statement to look at during dinner.
The Samourai vase by Marie-Aurore Stiker-Metral evokes the various superposed elements which combine to make the armour of a Samurai warrior and can be placed at free will anywhere around the home. The coloured design (in blue) cut into the glass evokes the ornamental motifs (often in lacquered steel) which are the most common decoration for the protective arm and thigh pieces.
Then there’s the entrance to a house, which is an oft-frequented and yet seldom considered space. Rite by Dimitri Zephir and Florian Dach, as its name suggests, is a ‘ritualistic object’. It is a mirror, a tableau, with two hooks arranged on a wooden rail; it attaches to the wall to free up space at ground level.
And for a signature piece, the Abbesse candle holder by Numero 111 which hopes to focus on the object until a line drawing became apparent, with the ultimate aim of ‘showing off the contents through the container, is characterized by their study of broken lines and the interaction of the various materials. The signature piece can be placed in a lounging area to add an avowal of your finest taste for interior décor.
So we say again, look no further than our showroom if you are looking for meaningful pieces for your home; pieces you can look at and you can tell a story about them, therefore they tell a story about you through your home.
